Kiwi-spring 1998    Kiwi's childhood. Kiwi puts his beak everywhere.

I am inquisitive!
So inquisitive....
that I must check Midori's bank account
Tired of moulting.

Tovi-March 1999    Tovi's Manu perch
This is MY manu perch on Kiwi's cage.
Nobody else can perch on this.
 I even eat MY perch,
sometimes on Kiwi's cage
I like melon seeds,
but I don't like hands,
Ok, if you insist.
 I prefer warm laps.

Kiwi-May 1999   Kiwi's favourite trick. He juggles the ring three times as I count 'One, twooo, threeeee'.

Take the ring like this,
turn it...
 and turn it again!
I don't let it go, even while I am eating a treat.

Kiwi-May 1999  He juggles (well, sort of) all these three objects.
I can juggle different things...
But, this ring is my favourite,
not only is it light
but also I can wear it
 like a necklace too.

Kiwi-May 1999    I make this toy from a kitchen towel tube. After a week, it is replaced by a new one.
This is nothing to me.
A smart bird like me,
has no problem with such a simple thing.
 Finger peeling game.
It isn't easy.

Tovi-May 1999   Tovi's scratch box. When I place it in his cage every afternoon, he dives in there.
I like scratching,
Nobody else can scratch in MY box.
There are lots of seeds hidden under paper.
 I am hidden too.

Kiwi-May 1999   Both Kakariki are avid bathers. We didn't notice that Kiwi is almost submerged under the water until these pictures were taken.
 I love to bath.
Hygiene is one of my principles.
Removing all dust and food particles.
And dipping in the water!

After having a bath
Drying on Midori's shoulder
Too wet to fly

Kiwi's feather was used as a motif for this page's background.
